Why do you want to join The Red Blades Of Manderian?
I was recruited by Raeravel (actually his alt) for a RP guild on SWTOR. But he left it for here. Seeing that he seemed to be the kind of person that I would enjoy playing with, I am trying to follow. Also, I met Ethel by accident this morning and, once agian, she seemed a nice person to play with.
What will you be bringing to us?
Well, I have a rather huge RP experience in all domains, tabletop, LARP, on-line games, accumulated over more than 30 years now. I must confess that I am not completely certain about RPing in this universe in this specific era (lack of knowledge, mostly), and about mixing the complicated background story of the game with others. But I hope to take the ambiance in, and participate as much as I can.
Apart from this, I am also looking for, and willing to contribute to, a nice social environment of helpful and fun people. Basically, I enjoy gaming with people, and look forward to making friends.
Lastly, I have a fairly good raiding experience (mostly on WoW), including leading raids in a server's second best alliance guild. I am not sure how that could be relevant in this guild and in this game (I cannot afford to be a hardcore raider anymore), but it might prove useful.
What do you hope we will do for you?
See above, mostly roleplaying events and a nice relaxed and social atmosphere, people helping each other out and having laughs together.

Why did you leave that/those clan(s)?
I have not left any clan yet on SWTOR. I left Redrum when I stopped hard-core raiding a few years back.
Do you have roleplaying experience?
Well, as mentioned above, I have been roleplaying tabletop-wise for more than 32 years now. I have been LARPing for 24 years, and gaming online for more than 12 years, although that has not always been about roleplaying. If I had one adjective to describe me, hobby-wise, it would be roleplayer...

Well, apart from roleplaying (still organising one LARP a year - max was about 3/year - and tabletop gaming every friday), my hobbies include playing the guitar, running (I am training for a marathon in april), having fun with my family and travelling with them, wherever I can afford it.
Outside "free time", I am head of engineering of a major electronics company.

How active do you intend to be?
A few hours on most evenings during the week (except Fridays), a few hours during the week-end. I am renovating my flat atm, meaning less free time, and I sometimes have heavy work constraints, but I don't travel as much as I used to.
Do you have a microphone and access to Ventrilo?
I have a microphone, but not installed ventrilo for some time now. It would of course be easy to install it again.
Character Background, or details of personality. (Optional but doing so will be looked upon favourably)
As mentioned above, I am not completely sure about the way to best integrate in the game, I don't know enough about the era. This is why I intend to build my character slowly, and to "flashback" my background whenever I need it or find it interesting to do so. Basically, I want my character to be a fairly average Jedi Knight, aiming to become a master only through hard work and because she sees her policies being respected and taken into account by the council, not through favors or being political in any sense. She is very straight-minded and extremely honourable, considering obedience to the Jedi code an absolute moral obligation. Very devoted to the Republic, she does not hate the Empire, just considers it a threat to freedom that needs to be ended without using the enemies weapon in any way. In this sense, she tries to help as ;uch as possible every soul needing it that she has the pleasure to meet (as Ethel can vouch for). She also has a dry sense of humour, and can be fairly critical, ironic, or even acidic when the situation calls for it. This leaves me the future ability to ne shocked about events, to weave doubts into the story, and possibly to break down or change entirely depending on whatever story develops.
