Random encounters - Borlänges Sweden

Panting, a woman enters staircase of what used to be one of the biggest malls in Sweden. Its the third floor. She takes a quick glance down. "Great more zombies!" Few more cram through the door from where she had came. The woman begins running up the stairs. Although winded, she easily outruns the zombies who are having hard time climbing up the stairs. The woman reaches top floor. Door is open. She runs through and quickly shuts it behind her as well as moves a trash can to jam the door knob. Finally a moment of breather.

Speeding through the dead highways Matti Kaukomäki was nearing Börlänge when he spotted a peculiar figure on the roadside. Unlike most figures this one was holding it's thump up while walking, it was hitchhiking. In these few weeks Matti hadn't seen a single zombie hitchhike. Not ever. Interested by possibly encountering another human being, he slowed down as the figure approached. It was a woman! A wide smiele spreaded Matti's face immediately when he greeted her, "Hello. You need a ride?" Anitchka Moskovits was pleasently surprised when Matti stopped his car. She had been walking for countless of kilometers and her legs were quite sore. She didn't care what kind of person the driver would be anymore. Only thing that mattered was to get inside a car. "Yes please," she answered. Matti didn't have to be told twice. He opened the car door and invited her to hop in. Only now did he realize that the tank was almost empty. Luckily there was a gas station nearby.

Meanwhile John Barthellos ventures towards a small gas station just nearby the said mall. During his time as a smuggler he had learned that even in Sweden, those usually had weaponry somewhere. At times like these any amount of bullets would make a great difference. Also it seemed like there were no zombies inside. John goes inside and begins to scavenge the place. Suddenly he hears the sound of weapon being loaded behind him. Another sound comes from behind, "No sudden moves zombie if you want to stay head intact!" A nostalgic situation to John who had worked and lived in the underground world. But more than that this was his first encounter with another human in weeks!

The tense situation was interrupted by a car arriving at the station. Chris Brown, lowered his shotgun and turned to look outside. A man wearing a leather jacket and a cap stepped out. Another person just sat on the front seat. John saw fit to talk and tried to proof being human to Chris. He didn't care though. A working cars were extremely rare now days. He went outside to see who had just arrived with it. John followed him soon after. From a still lush forest Richard appeared at the gas station and soon noticed the others. Thom Barrier was heading to check one of his ex company's factories for supplies when he noticed some commotion at a gas station. Because they let out other sounds beside growling and moaning they couldn't be zombies. Intrigued by a chance of meeting many other humans, Thom too approached the station.

On the rooftop of the mall. The zombies were now behind the door. Trash can wouldn't last long. The woman looked for alternative exits. Fire stairs were fine since zombies couldn't climb anything so steep but unfortunately they were swarming below it. At least hundred zombies were waiting for someone to climb down the stairs. She blocked two other doors similar to which she had used to reach the roof, while they were still deprived of undead mooks. No way out? This couldn't be. Stressed, she walked around the roof to find alternate escape routes just to spot some people on a gas station below. A chill of hope ran through her spine. It didn't matter what secrets she'd reveal to them as long as they'd help her escape. The woman screamed at everyone, "OY! You there! I'm stuck here on the roof! Please can you save me! Zombies might kill me any minute! Please! If you help me I'll introduce you to Åke and he'll let you on the flight to paradise I swear! Or if you don't want that then I'll give you anything else you want! I have supplies, weapons, ammo, meds and everything at the base! JUST PLEASE COME SAVE ME!"

OOC note:
Quote:Ok everyone met. You can choose to do whatever you want. Char interaction, treasure hunting, zombie killing, whatever but I suggest you go help the woman for the plots sake. There are many basic supplies at the gas station that you can use to your advantage. Pretty much anything that you can find from a norman convenience store exists there.

The woman is trapped on the fourth floor. There are 4 entrances to the building. 1.The truck docs where new stuff are being brought to the mall, 2.The front door, 3.A back door and the 4.Fire stairs. The front doors are large, made of glass and leads to big open area inside the mall. The back door is small and only one person can enter at a time, though inside is relatively safe staff area. Fire stairs lead straight to the roof. However, options 2,3 and 4 are swarming with zombies but doors in option 1 are made hard to open and inside is completely dark.

A map of the area.
'I'll be damned! Haven't seen this many people in ages.'

Matti raised his hand in greeting to the two men who came from inside the gas station and the two that came elsewhere. 'Is the screaming woman with any of you?'

All the while talking Matti had uncorked the gas tank of his car and begun pumping gas into his car. His hand shook somewhat nervously. Maybe the apocalypse had gotten to him or maybe he was just nervous of meeting so many humans after being on his own for a while. 'Who are you guys anyway? Locals? No? I just got here from north. Matti's the name.'

Matti glanced at the roof where the shouts came from. 'Boy. We really need to help that lady up there. Do you guys have any weapons, or a plan?'
Chris looked at the idiot standing there pumping gas into his car as though nothing was uncommon about a load of Zombies ambling around and some hysterical woman standing up on the roof, but hey, if he survived this long he can't be stupid Chris thought to himself.

"Well between all of us here we seem to have a few weapons, but I don't know about a plan myself."

Chris shrugged his shoulders and looked at the other guys to see if anyone had actually managed to think further than the next 5 seconds.
Staring at 'crowd' of living people, John shifted his weight. He glanced up at the yelling woman.

Half-ignoring the people conversing, John walked into the gas station and pulled out his pistol. Checking the safety, John began to pull everything down from its origin, making an awfull lot of sound. He found a bottle of water which somehow satisfied him, and then he walked outside again.

"I am John. Wan't some water?" John asked the 'crowd', shaking the bottle of water hysterically.
Thom glanced up at the woman on top of the mall with a worried frown, then returned his attention to the people standing by the gas station. Shrugging off his amazement that there was still any gas left in the pumps, he decided it would be best to approach the gathering of people with care. After all, you never knew what kind of loons had made it this long.

Mid-stride, Thom froze, as one of the people pulled out a gun. He wasn't the only one with a weapon, but it was still cause for worry that he pulled it out without any zombies in the immediate vicinity. Thom waited for a sec, considering if it was too late to turn around, then decided he would take his chances with the other survivors. After all, getting shot in the head was better than being turned into one of those despicable creatures.

Unsure of what approach to take with the people, not to mention the poor woman on the roof, Thom remained standing about a dozen meters away from the closest person in the group.
Anitchka sat in the passenger's seat of Matti's car and surveyed the situation. Her instincts told her she needed to help the woman screaming from atop the roof, and that all of these people were somehow brought together by fate to do just that. The matter of how they would help her was another matter entirely. Although why some of them were here she could never guess. She saw the crazed look in John's eye, and thought sadly about what the apocalypse had done to some people's sanity.

As long as they were introducing themselves, Anitchka opened the car door and stepped out. "I am Anitchka Moskovits. Call me Anna."
"Hey, hey hey" I don't know about you guys, heck i don't even know you guys... and ladie, but seriously, we can't honestly go there and start saving some raving woman from zombies? Just think about it! when have you ever seen a movie where everyone survived such a crazy action? sure the Anna will live, up until the sex scene, after which her brains are eaten out, but for the rest of you there's no security!"

Richard was fiddling with the gun in his pocket, knowing it was empty. heck he didn't even knew how to aim. and he certainly wasn't planning on going dawn of the dead style into a fucking mall to save a doomed woman.

'We should just get the fuck out of here, or take advantage of the zombies killing her, and raid the mall for supplies!'

He didn't know any of these people, but couldn't care really, neither was he interested in giving his name. he saw to many movies to know not to get attached. what if he took a wrong turn? it was only a matter of time when someone would fuck up and get killed. he certainly wasn't planning that.
The mention of having sex with any of these men made vile fill Anna's throat.

"This isn't a movie and that's a real person up there. There's plenty of us to watch each others backs. And I'm a doctor if anyone were to get injured. Getting supplies is a good idea, but isn't anyone else wondering who this Åke is? And if there's a flight going to an area that's not infected I'll take my chances and help this woman. What else are we going to do? Go on living our lives until eventually we get killed or become one of them?" Anna sighed and leaned up against the car to relax. It was more than she had said since her husband died, so she hoped it made a point.
"Doctor Mos... Euhm... Miss Anna?" Thom walked closer to the centre of the group. "I hate to break it to you, but I don't think you can just patch up the kind of injuries we're most likely to die from. Sure, if one of us breaks a leg, you could probably splint it. But if any of us gets an unlucky scratch or bite wound, that won't help us much, will it?"

He glanced over at Richard.

"I say skinny has got the right idea. I'd rather live with guilt than die without."

"Oh, and the name's Thom, by the way. Thom Barrier. Always nice to meet someone not trying to put their teeth in my neck."
"Mr. Barrier and the other dude has the right idea. We may suceed at saving the girl, but as soon as her friend, Mr. Åke shows up as mother fuckin' zombie, we're all dead... You're welcome to join us lady, but I am not going up there." John said and pointed at the rooftop. He opened the bottles lid and began to drink.
